October is such a busy month; Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Halloween, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month and.... Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!
So, with all those important and worthwhile items mentioned; let's.... Party Like an Animal and help raise money for the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
On October 29, 2010 the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society and the Jonesboro Elks Lodge #498 and local Disc Jockey Mark Taylor will team up to help raise money for NEA Humane Society. This great and fun event will take place at the Jonesboro Elks Lodge and will begin at 7:00pm.
Admission is $10 with costume and $15 without a costume. Tickets will be sold at the door. Music will be provided by DJ - Mark Taylor. Costume contests and other fun events will be held.

Not a big fan of dressing animals in general, but I'll make an exception for Halloween -- and especially for such a worthy event as this. Shelters and adoptions represent the best in us as humans, I think, and the best hope for homeless animals. Kudos to the NAHS.
